5 Work at Home Phone Sales Jobs Paying Base Plus Commission

Estimated read time 6 min read

Many people looking to work from home that are OK with phone work tend to shy away from commission-based sales positions.

And this is very understandable because it’s pretty scary to know your entire paycheck is dependent on you successfully getting sales or leads. Some people are born with a natural ability to sell and love a challenge, but most of us feel commission-based pay is just too much of a risk.

In other ways, commission-based pay is very exciting because your earning potential is not exactly limited.

With other types of phone jobs, you have a rough idea of how much you’re going to earn each week because you know your set hourly pay and your scheduled hours. But with commission, the amount you earn depends on you and your performance.

Today, I wanted to make a list of companies that offer a base pay in addition to commission. This is a lot “safer” and provides the best of both worlds because you’ll earn a certain amount of money hourly whether you makes sales/get leads or not. And there are quite a few legitimate companies with this type of setup.

So with that in mind, here is your list. I cannot guarantee all these companies have openings right now, and keep in mind that each company listed below will have their own requirements regarding experience, equipment needed, and they may possibly have sales quotas for you to meet to stay employed.

Yelp – Inside Sales Reps

Yelp is often hiring Inside Sales Representatives in the US. They are primarily looking for people in the Central and Eastern regions of the US.

If hired, you will sell Yelp advertising programs through a high volume of outbound sales calls.

Per the job listing, “Your mission is to reach as many businesses as possible. You’ll work one of the following schedules (in your local time), or as otherwise determined by your manager: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Requires GED/HS Diploma and 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR a bachelor’s degree.”

Yelp pays $50K to $65K annually with a combo of base salary and uncapped sales incentives.

Fusion Growth Partners – Appointment Setters

Fusion Growth Partners is almost always looking for remote appointment setters in the United States. These are full-time jobs in the real estate industry.

The job description states the following: “We are looking for individuals who will become specialists in generating face-to-face conversations for our Partnership Development Executives who will not only present our growth platform but also work with them long-term to help them build their businesses.”

To qualify, you must have experience in cold calling, warm calling, outside sales, or inside sales.

The job description says they pay base plus commission, but it does not state what the base pay is. However, the income range is listed at between $60K and $120K yearly.

Outsourced Doers – High Ticket Sales Specialists

Outsourced Doers is hiring high ticket sales specialists to work remotely in the US. This is a full-time role.

Your job would be to match “Doers” which are virtual assistants the company employs, with time-poor online entrepreneurs who need the assistance. These are supposedly “warm” leads you’d be calling.

They are looking for people with three or more years of sales experience.

The job pays $36K annually and comes with uncapped commission.

These are full-time roles that do require working onsite during your training time, so you may need to live in or near Montebello, CA, which appears to be where the company headquarters is located.

Looking For Even More Remote Sales Options?

FlexJobs is one of my favorite sites to use for finding remote jobs and learning about new companies that hire remotely.

Most of what I see there when I check the listings pays well above minimum wage and are known companies.

The great thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee ALL listings are scam-free. They list hundreds of jobs — all of which are either remote or flexible in nature — five days per week.

There are also no ads on the site!

Because there are no ads, they do charge a membership fee since that is the only way they can see a return on their job-searching efforts.

But it’s cheap — you can get access for a few weeks for just $2.95 for 14 full days!

If you sign up and don’t like it, it’s very easy to cancel right away so you are not billed again. You can do it any point during your 14 days of checking things out.

Good luck to you!
